The holiday season is here and amidst the busyness of decorating, cooking, traveling and gift buying- it can be easy to forget how blessed we really are. So this holiday season, if you're looking for a way to be a part of The Season of Giving and to give back to those in the community- here are three easy ways the whole family can give back, together.
Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter:
"The holidays are a stressful time for anyone, but for the children and teens in our care, the holidays can be especially difficult. Our children miss out on the experience of a family or home environment. But with your help, the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter is able to provide a warm and happy holiday season. For individuals and groups who would like to help us provide joy this year, please take a look at our 2018 Holiday Wish List. Also, see our Needs List for additional items needed to provide a safe haven 24/7, 365 days per year for kids in crisis."
Northwest Arkansas Food Bank:
"In Northwest Arkansas over 63,000 men, women, senior citizens and children face hunger every day. The number of hungry people has increased in the past years, but the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank continues to fight for everyone to have access to nutritious food to eat. The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank is always looking for help. Whether it be donating money to our food bank, providing food, or volunteering at our food bank, your help contributes to the local community. Sign up or Learn more here."
Salvation Army of Northwest Arkansas:
"The Salvation Army of Northwest Arkansas exists to help the people of our community. We provide food, shelter, and assistance 365 days a year. In addition, we offer recovery programs, financial assistance, advocacy programs, and spiritual hope for those in need without discrimination. Whether you are an individual or a group, we can find the perfect spot for you to volunteer with the Salvation Army of Northwest Arkansas! View and sign up to volunteer using THIS LIST."
The best way to spread Holiday Cheer- is spreading the love, for all to feel.
